sometimes i consider the sheer beauty of it all…imagine falling in love with the world’s most brilliant…_________…whatever they might be…for now, let’s say she’s a painter…imagine falling in love with world’s most brilliant painter…her paintings are such that she not only captures the essence and beauty inherent in what she colors, she somehow manages to improve it…no, you could never mistake her painting for the real thing, but somehow that very fact brought required greater adoration; her paintings manage to make it seem more brilliant…that is just how amazing she is…she creates worlds where vibrant and pale are sisters that celebrate one another in perfect harmony…now imagine, if you can, that you were allowed to visit one of these paintings…you could run barefoot in the greens and browns…you could jump up towards the light blues and blacks of the sky…you dive into the dark blues and grays…you could close your eyes and bask in the orange and the yellows…and everything would be made all the sweeter when you realized that this beautiful place, almost zahir-like in its magnificence (yet without robbing you of yourself), was created by your love…you were swimming in her imagination, breathing in her brilliance…her πωεμα (poem) was your playground…how very, very magnificent…

My name is “Sonny” Albert Morris Sweatt, Jr.  Since 2007 I have lived in America and Japan and traveled to/spent significant time in Scotland, India, Nepal and Peru.  My favorite part about those trips was seeing how beautiful a person’s eyes can grow when they feel loved.  In each of those places I was privileged enough to see broken people and how love has changed them and the ways that love could change them.  Currently, I live in Japan.  The ocean and the mountains are less than an hour away and a very large volcano is less than two hours away.  I believe in color and in colors that I can’t see.  I want you to know how important you are and how amazing it can all be.  I want you to let go and see how much there really is on your city block.  My plan is something like this: 1)Live in Japan and teach English to pay off school loans.  2) Finish paying off loans and live in Japan teaching English to save money for Grad school 3) Move back to the USA and go to Grad school for International Development 4) Learn about International Development enough to have something to offer this world’s awesome communities of people who didn’t start off the same way I did.

I really enjoy writing and I’m hoping this blog will give me place to do that.  My experiences in lots of really different places has given some kind of unique insight into…life?  I’m also trying to start this whole poetry thing.  Let me know what you think.
